Rick Santorum - on his website talking about how terrible pornography is.

So since this blog is one half Stoya worship appreciation, I would like to say to Mr. Santorum, you really have no place to talk about misogyny, coming from the guy who hates educated women, single mothers, access to education for said single mothers, and women in the military.

Also, why are you allowed to say what people can and can’t do.  If a child is watching pornography, it is incumbent upon the parent to discipline their child - I know I was when I first started watching porn (as my parents are devout Christians - they don’t know I even have this blog, even though I’m 18 now).  Hell, even my transgendered (m to f) father told me that porn was wrong.

I know some feminists don’t like porn either (as there are legitimate arguments made about sex trafficking and violence towards women.)  However, if the porn industry came together (as they are not so much competitors as much as a society, I would say) and condemned and boycotted those who do traffic sex, there would be more safety in the porn business.

I know for a fact that Stoya is part of Digital Playgrounds - a porn business owned and operated by the porn actresses, not the actors. While they employ many actors and the scenes are generally male dominant, female submissive (as far as I’ve seen), the women are still in control behind the scenes. 

EDIT: They are competitors. They are businesses, first and foremost, and wages from the porn industry goes to video editors, film guys, lighting guys, guys who don’t necessarily have a high level of skill, but are still employed.  And it seems like a lot of guys in the porn business are pretty well off.

However, watching videos of the AVN Awards, it seems like while people are competitors, they are very social and have strong bonds.
